College of Education
Mission Statement:
The primary purpose of the College of Education (http://www.unk.edu/acad/coe/) is to prepare students for professional careers in Education and related fields. The College of Education seeks to provide students opportunities to prepare for productive careers, to develop as life long learners, to become both reflective practitioners and responsible citizens. The mission statements of the respective departments further reflect the College and UNK Mission statements with emphases in presenting more specialized majors or minors. The departments in the College of Education are:

Degree Programs
The five departments in the College of Education offer three undergraduate degrees: the Bachelor of Arts in Education, the Bachelor of Science in Education, and the Bachelor of Science.
Bachelor of Arts in Education:
- Majors/endorsements: Early Childhood Unified; Elementary Education; English as a Second Language; Health and Physical Education K-12; Health Education 7-12; Middle Grades Education; Mild/Moderate 7-12; Mild/Moderate K-6; Physical Education 7-12; Physical Education K-6
Bachelor of Science in Education:
- Majors/endorsements: Communication Disorders (Comprehensive); Early Childhood Unified; and Middle Grades Education
Bachelor of Science:
- Majors: Exercise Science (Comprehensive); Health Science; Physical Education; Physical Education (Comprehensive); Recreation Management; Recreation and Park Management (Comprehensive); Sports Administration; and Sports Administration (Comprehensive)
