The University of Nebraska at Kearney is interested in the spiritual life of its students and, in order to meet their needs, encourages student participation in a variety of religious organizations. While not endorsing any one religious group or denomination., UNK encourages students to become involved in campus ministries and churches of their choice. In order to meet the spiritual needs of the University community, organizations and churches provide campus ministers, facilities and programs such as Sunday worship, Bible studies, fellowship groups, study seminars, service projects, weekday worship and counseling.
Campus Crusade for Christ International: Campus Crusade for Christ International is a campus organization dedicated to meeting students' spiritual needs. The groups is non-denominational and strives to facilitate programs and activities designed to further students' growth and spiritual awareness.
Campus Lutheran: Campus Lutheran serves UNK students affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The group fosters spiritual awareness and commitment to Jesus Christ.
Chi Alpha: Through Chi Alpha, students receive encouragement in all areas of their college lives, as well as in advancing their personal knowledge of, and relationship with, Jesus Christ. Although membership is open to all students, many of the members attend New Life Assembly of God Church in Kearney.
Christian Student Fellowship: Christian Student Fellowship fosters the Lordship of Christ on the UNK campus through Bible study, fellowship, and discipleship.
Cooperative Campus Ministries: Cooperative Campus Ministries represents a variety of campus ministries provided through a number of area denominations. All denominations involved in Cooperative Campus Ministries welcome students desiring counseling, Bible study, fellowship, and worship.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes: Membership in Fellowship of Christian Athletes is open to any interested UNK student. FCA provides an opportunity to study the life of Jesus Christ. Members also learn how to live a Christian life while in fellowship with other Christians (athletes and non-athletes).
Newman Center: The Newman Center serves those of Roman Catholic faith. Located close to campus, it proves students with easy access to fellowship, study, and worship.
Roger Williams Fellowship: Roger Williams Fellowship is a non-denominational Christian organization serving the students of UNK and other young adults in the community. Although membership is open to all students, many of the members are affiliated with the First Baptist Church. The goal of the group is three-fold: fellowship, discipleship, and outreach.
United Campus Ministries: United Campus Ministries represents the efforts of four denominations in providing UNK students with pastoral care, spiritual nurture, and intellectual and social growth opportunities. Those churches affiliated with United Campus Ministries are: Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Presbyterian Church (USA), the United Church of Christ, and the United Methodist Church.
University Lutheran Chapel: The University Lutheran Chapel is a ministry of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. The purpose of the organization is to serve the students of UNK through a ministry of word and sacrament.
