The University of Nebraska at Kearney offers pre-professional preparation in a variety of fields. Specific information about Pre-Architecture, Pre-Engineering, Pre-Meteorology and, Pre-Oceanography is provided in the section of this catalog describing the programs of the department of physics. Specific information about pre-law is provided in the section of this catalog describing the programs of the department of political science. Pre-professional programs in health-related education are described in detail under the section entitled Health Science Programs (see Index).
Many of the pre-professional programs cannot be specified in this catalog because the course requirements vary according to the requirements of the professional school selected by the student. These pre-professional programs include Pre-Agriculture, Pre-Forestry and Wildlife Emphasis administered by the department of biology; Chemical Engineering administered by the department of chemistry; and Pre-Music Therapy administered by the department of music.
For more information regarding any of the pre-professional programs, a student should contact the chairman of the appropriate academic department. A faculty advisor in these departments will be assigned to assist pre-professional students in their planning.
