- An introduction to statistics for educational and sociological research. Will include descriptive statistics, normal distribution,
and an introduction to correlation, hypothesis testing, and analysis of variance.

- Prereq: one introductory statistics course and one computer science course
The analysis of data taken from the social sciences. The computer will be a tool for the course.

Methods quantifying the dynamic relationships of sequences of random events. Methods studied include markov chains, poisson,
renewal, branching, and queuing, and their many applications to real life situations.

Elementary probability theory and statistical applications.

A continuation of 441/841P. The further mathematical development of special probability densities, functions of random variables,
sampling distributions, decision theory, point and interval estimators, hypotheses testing, and covariance.

- Selected contemporary topics in statistics are covered.
- STAT 895P - Independent Study - 1-3 hours
