The lower hour requirements for the Endorsement may be achieved with careful planning
and advising in the selection of General Studies courses and Special Areas of Academic
Concentration.
Minimum total hours required coursework = 152-158
Unrestricted electives in 125 hour program = 0
Minimum total hours required for BAE or BSE in Middle Grades Education Teaching Field
Endorsement = 150-156
All UNK degrees require a minimum of 125 hours. Forty (40) of the hours required for
all UNK degrees must be upper division hours, which are courses numbered 300 or above
taken at a 4-year college or university.
A. Middle Grades Core Requirements (27 hours required)
Take all of the following: ELED 370**, Teaching Elementary School
