The main mission of the Office of Multicultural and International Student Services is the recruitment and retention of all multicultural (African American, Asian American, Hispanic American, and Native American) and international students through programs including new student orientation, cultural celebrations, one-to-one and group counseling, scholarship information, and career counseling. The Office also helps coordinate with the International Education Office all exchange programs abroad, departmental summer study abroad, International Studies and International Programs and in addition, handles the verification of legal documents for the regional Immigration Office.
In keeping with the mission of the University, the Office promotes the awareness of all cultures and fosters the development and educational opportunities of all people, regardless of national origin or ethnic heritage.
