ADMISSION OF NON-DEGREE STUDENTS

A special classification of non-degree is provided for those students who have no immediate intent of pursuing a degree program. Such a classification is intended to enhance the enrollment of students, over 19 years of age, seeking course work for reasons other than pursuing a bachelor's degree at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Non-degree status allows the student to complete as many hours as he or she chooses; however, should the individual later wish to pursue a degree, a maximum of 16 semester credit hours may be applied toward a degree. All regular admission requirements must be met including application, transcripts, status reports, and ACT or SAT scores. Application forms are available in the Admissions Office at UNK.
