CLEAN AIR POLICY

No tobacco products may be used in facilities or vehicles of the University of Nebraska at Kearney except as specifically delineated below.

Use of tobacco products on the grounds of any UNK site is allowed as long as such use is not within close proximity (defined as within 10 feet) of any facility entrance or work site.

The Residence Halls have been smoke free since January 1993. The only exceptions are a limited number of student rooms. The Director of Residence Life will continue to designate specific resident hall rooms as areas in which smoking is permitted.
