ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

Since 1906, following the graduation of the first class at the Nebraska State Normal School at Kearney, the Alumni Association has been working to maintain the link between graduates and the University of Nebraska at Kearney. More than 27,000 alumni are now on the files of the association.

The association produces a newspaper quarterly, works with alumni, recognizes special classes, coordinates Homecoming activities for alumni, sponsors the Student Alumni Board, and coordinates the Outstanding Alumni and Athletic Hall of Fame Awards.

The official home of the association is the Alumni House, located at 2222 Ninth Avenue, a facility that was once the residence of Dr. A.O. Thomas, the first president of the Nebraska State Normal School, now the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
