BA Language requirement = a minimum of 5
The BA requires completion of two intermediate or advanced courses in a single modern
language. Students coming to campus having met the 1997- admission requirements will
typically have a 5-6 hour requirement. Students without two years of high school language
study will typically take 10 hours of first year language before completing this
requirement.

Minor or 2nd Major = (Math minor within the major)
A math minor is included within the major. Electing an additional minor will add as many
as 24 hours to the major.

Minimum total hours required for BA in Professional Chemist's Major = 137
All UNK degrees require a minimum of 125 hours. Forty (40) of the hours required for
all UNK degrees must be upper division hours, which are courses numbered 300 or above
taken at a 4-year college or university.
