Program Objective:

The Nebraska Safety Center was established at the University of Nebraska at Kearney by the Nebraska Legislature, in 1978, to provide " . . . increased training and research activity in fields of traffic safety, home safety, industrial safety, fire safety, and recreational safety . . ."
The following programs are offered by the Safety Center:
Professional Teaching Certificate Option - Additional Endorsement in Driver Education
A minor in Safety Education -Secondary, Elementary, or nonteaching, is available for students pursuing other majors.
In service opportunities to increase safety awareness and improve safety techniques in keeping with advancing technology are available.
