Objectives

The University of Nebraska at Kearney provides students with the opportunity for higher education of the highest quality by developing a constructive and wholesome attitude toward a free democratic society; an understanding and appreciation of their social, economic and political heritage; a familiarization with the great works in the humanities which have influenced our culture; a campus atmosphere contributing to desirable physical, intellectual and spiritual growth which will serve to guide and sustain their adult life; the understandings, attitudes and skills necessary to give competence in their chosen subject matter fields; and an atmosphere of helpful cooperation between students and faculty.
