The University of Nebraska at Kearney declares and affirms a policy of equal educational and employment opportunities, affirmative action in employment, and nondiscrimination in providing its services to the public. Therefore, the University of Nebraska at Kearney shall not discriminate against anyone based upon race, age, color, disability, religion, gender (including sexual harassment), sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, marital status, or Vietnam-era veteran status (collectively referred to as Íprotected statusÎ). This policy is enforced by federal law under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, section 402 of the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act, and follows guidelines established in Executive Orders 11246 and 11375, as amended.
