  1. Spanish Core Requirements (18 hours required)
    • Take all of the following:
      • SPAN 205GS, Culture, Conversation, and Composition - 3 hours (Prereq: SPAN 201GS or equivalent or department permission)
      • SPAN 308, Advanced Spanish Grammar - 3 hours (Prereq: SPAN 205GS or equivalent)
      • SPAN 309, Foundations of Literacy - 3 hours (Prereq: SPAN 205GS or equivalent)
      • SPAN 310, Cultural History of Spain and Latin America I - 3 hours (Prereq or Coreq: SPAN 308 or SPAN 309)
      • SPAN 311, Cultural History of Spain and Latin America II - 3 hours (Prereq or Coreq: SPAN 308 or SPAN 309)
      • FORL 480, Modern Languages Seminar - 3 hours (Prereq: Senior standing or consent of department)
  2. Spanish Translation and Interpretation Requirements (21 hours required)
    • Take all of the following:
    • Minimum grade of C+ required for the following courses.
      • SPAN 333, Commercial Spanish - 3 hours
      • SPAN 408, Comparative Grammar - 3 hours (Prereq: SPAN 308 or permission of instructor)
      • FORL 308, Seminar in Translation I - 3 hours (Prereq: a 300-level course in French or German or Spanish or equivalent)
      • FORL 309, Seminar in Translation II - 3 hours (Prereq: a 300-level course in French or German or Spanish literature)
      • FORL 409, Interpretation I - 3 hours (Prereq: FORL 308 and FORL 309 OR equivalent AND demonstrable knowledge)
      • FORL 410, Interpretation II - 3 hours (Prereq: SPAN 309 and FORL 409 or permission of the instructor)
      • FORL 411, Translation/Interpretation Internship - 3 hours (Prereq: FORL 410)
