- Clinical Year (35 hours required)
- Students must successfully complete a respiratory therapy clinical training program at an affiliated
Hospital/School of Respiratory Therapy. Students will be awarded 35 credit hours upon satisfactory completion of the
training. The University of Nebraska is currently affiliated with the clinical programs at Alegent Health in Omaha and
Nebraska Methodist College in Omaha. Gaining acceptance to an affiliated school for the clinical portion is a competitive
process and admission cannot be assured by successful completion of pre-respiratory therapy courses.
- Register for the following every semester during clinical training:
- HSCI 430, Special Topics in Health Sciences - 1 hour (to total 2-3 hours)
- This requirement is part of the 35 hours of credit awarded for the clinical training.
