- WSTD 220GS - Introduction to Women's Studies - 3 hours

This interdisciplinary course is designed to investigate the roles, images, and
contributions of women in order to understand women's present status in society. Topics
such as women and politics, women in history, treatment of women in religion, women as
artists, literary images of women, and women's scientific contributions will be discussed
with emphasis on cross-cultural and interdisciplinary concerns.
- WSTD 420 - Senior Seminar in Women's Studies - 3 hours
- Prereq: WSTD 220GS
This course will allow students to pursue their major field of study in
relation to women's studies. Under faculty direction, students will read independently,
research, and write on a topic of interest. The seminar will meet to share research and to
explore the larger issues of feminist theory.
- WSTD 499 - Special Topics in Women's Studies - 1-3 hours
- Prereq: WSTD 220GS or permission of instructor
Topics are studied which are not assigned or covered in other Women's Studies courses. The format of this course will vary
depending on the topic, instructor and the needs of the students.
