Computer Information Systems Minor

MN 1054

A grade of "C" or above is required for all courses in this minor. In this minor, prerequisites are fulfilled when the prerequisite courses have been passed with a "C" or above.

Required for minor = 24 hours

1. Requirements
   • Take all the following:
     • CSIS 130GS, Introduction to Computer Science - 3 hours (Prereq or coreq: MATH 102 or math placement into MATH 103 or above)
     • CSIS 150, Object Oriented Programming - 3 hours
     • CSIS 223, Computer Organization for Computer Information Systems - 3 hours
     • CSIS 250, Information System Concepts - 3 hours (Prereq: ENG 102)
     • CSIS 380, System Analysis & Design - 3 hours (Prereq: ENG 102)
     • CSIS 425, Database Systems - 3 hours
2. Computer Science Minor Electives (6 hours required)
   • Take 6 additional hours from:
     • CSIS 406, Internet-based Information Systems Development - 3 hours (Prereq: CSIS 425)
     • CSIS 428, Data Communications and Distributed Processing - 3 hours
     • CSIS 440, Hypertext and Multimedia - 3 hours
