Through a consortium consisting of Nebraska state universities and colleges, students are eligible to study abroad for one semester at Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic. The group exchange is accompanied by a faculty member from a Nebraska institution and is taught by faculty members representing a variety of disciplines at Palacky University.
The semester begins mid-March and runs until the end of May. Students register for 12-15 credit hours and are required to attend morning classes Monday through Thursday at Palacky University.
The cost for the semester is approximately $6,000, which is inclusive of tuition, room, board, round-trip airfare and excursions in Europe. Through a sister institution exchange, Sapporo University offers two UNK students a one-year scholarship that provides tuition, fees, room, board and a monthly stipend to study at Sapporo University in Sapporo, Japan. While at Sapporo University, students will study the Japanese language and culture as well as choose courses from the Sapporo University offerings. MAASTRICHT CENTER for TRANSATLANTIC STUDIES
Based at Teikyo University in The Netherlands, the Maastricht Center offers two semester-length study abroad programs plus a one-month summer program every year, focusing on a comparative, multidisciplinary approach to transatlantic relationships and developments. Staff and students from institutions in the Maastricht Consortium gather in a central location to form an interactive, international learning community.

Reutlingen University lies at the foot of the Swabian Alps near Stuttgart, Germany. It is regarded the top business school in the country and is the institution of choice for German students who want to pursue a career in business related fields.
Students from UNK join students from Kettering University (Michigan) for a one month intensive language and culture study followed by a semester at Reutlingen University. The program starts at the beginning of September and culminates mid-December. Chung-Ang University, located in Seoul, has a student population of 30,000 students and is one of the leading private institutions in Korea. UNK students can earn three UNK credit hours while learning about Korean Culture, Arts, Folklore, Economics and Politics during a three week intensive summer program.

The MAUI/Utrecht Consortium brings universities from the Midwest together with universities from the European ERASMUS program to facilitate student exchange. The purpose of this program is to develop internationally competent citizens who can participate in the development of our nations' foreign policy and provide international political, economic and social leadership. The goal of this exchange is to foster understanding of nations, cultures and people who have different histories, traditions and religious backgrounds.
UNK students can study at one of 19 European countries (see list below) while paying tuition and fees (15 credit hours) to UNK and the cost of room and board at the host institution.

The University of Nebraska at Kearney is affiliated with Kansai University of Foreign Studies in Osaka, Japan. Kansai University is a very prestigious University devoted to the promotion of international education. As an affiliate, UNK sends one student per year to the Asian Studies Program. Rostock University, located in Rostock in the new lands of Germany, is a historic university dating back to 1419. Rostock University offers many unique opportunities to UNK students who speak intermediate German. INTERNATIONAL STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM
ISEP (International Student Exchange Program) allows a student at UNK to pay tuition and fees (15 credit hours), room (double room), and board (20-meal plan) to UNK and enroll in a variety of institutions around the world for either a semester or a year. ISEP has member institutions in more than 35 countries on six continents including sites in Spain, Italy, Sweden, Chile, France, Malta, or many others.
