SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS

Alpha Phi Omega: a national service fraternity composed of both men and women, the group provides services to those at UNK and in the Kearney community.

Ambassadors: a leadership group whose members act as hosts and hostesses for UNK functions.

Circle K: The goal of Circle K is to involve more people with constructive service on campus and in the community.

Collegians for Integration and Accessibility: helps to meet the needs of students with disabilities while encouraging integration of all collegians through the promotion of campus accessibility and programs.

Friends: a supervised volunteer program that connects adult mentors with children identified as having special needs.

Greeks Advocating Mature Management of Alcohol: a resource for educating Greeks on various areas of college life including alcohol, date rape, drugs, sexually transmitted diseases, and peer pressure.

Habitat for Humanity: The University chapter works with other student groups on campus to develop fund-raising projects, which help Habitat for Humanity build houses within the community and throughout the country.

Leadership Development Council: promotes and recognizes leadership on campus and provides leadership programming to students through leadership speakers and workshops.

Reach-Up: The Reach-Up program includes a peer education/social group, CHEERS, which encourages alcohol abuse prevention through presentations.

Student Alumni Foundation: The Student Alumni Foundation serves as a liaison between the UNK Alumni Association and the student body.
