Admissions Application Fee

Payable at the time of admission - not refundable.

The Admissions Applications Fee is a onetime, mandatory fee that is used to establish a student's undergraduate records.

Facilities Fee

The Facilities Fee supports ongoing maintenance, repair and operation of student facilities.

Health Fee

(Fee assessed to all students enrolled for 7 or more hours.) The Health Fee is used to support the Student Health Center. (Summer session - see printed Summer Class Schedule.)

ID Card Fee

Fee assessed each term student is enrolled. Provides student with validated ID card.

Library Fee

The Library Fee supplements book collects, research materials and serial journal collections. This fee is charged to all enrolled students.

Late Fee Payment Surcharge

In addition to the $15 Late Registration charge, students who are registering late must pay a late fee payment surcharge.

Late Registration

A student may register late after Open Registration has ended and classes have begun.

A $15 Late Registration Fee and a Fee Payment surcharge are assessed. All tuition and other fees must be paid at the time of the late registration.

Note: After the scheduled Open Registration period ends, the instructor's or department chairperson's written permission is required for registration/adding a class. A registration, based on extenuating circumstances, beginning the third week of a class requires the written permission of the instructor, the department chairperson, and the school dean. Students cannot register for full semester classes following the fourth week of the term

New Student Enrollment Fee

The New Student Enrollment Fee is a onetime, mandatory fee charged all first-time students enrolled for 7 or more hours. The fee is used to support the orientation program.

Special Fees

Certain courses require a materials fee in addition to regular registration fees.

Student Activity Fee

(Fee assessed to all students enrolled for 7 or more hours.)
The purpose of the Activity Fee is to help finance student programs.

Student Event Ticket

(Fee assessed to all students enrolled for 7 or more hours.) The SET fee permits admission to UNK sponsored events and to develop and showcase conspicuous student talent. The financial support enables UNK to explore additional opportunities in programs that develop student leadership skills or that provide venues for students to display intellectual talent and other exceptional accomplishment.

Student Parking Fee

The Parking Fee is not refundable. The Parking Fee provides for a permit to park in designated areas on campus.

Student Records Fee

The Student Records Fee provides for lifetime copies of transcripts. This fee is charged to all enrolled students.

Student Union Renovation Fee

The Student Union Renovation Fee supports renovation of and addition to the Nebraskan Student Union

Technology Fee 

The Technology Fee funds enhance and increase the instructional and informational technology literacy and access for UNK students. This fee is charged to all enrolled students.

Weight Room Fee

The Weight Room Fee is used to provide improvements for the student weight and exercise room.
