NEBRASKA SEMESTER ABROAD
Through a consortium consisting of Nebraska state universities and state colleges, Nebraska students will be able to study abroad for one semester at the Palacky University, Olomouc, Czech Republic.
The semester includes study with a faculty member from a Nebraska institution as well as study with faculty and experts from throughout Europe. The semester begins in early March and runs until early June. Students will register for a minimum of 12 hours of course study that are conducted from Monday through Thursday. The cost for the semester, which includes room, board, travel, tuition and excursions, is approximately $6000.

DEAKIN UNIVERSITY
Deakin University, located in Melbourne, Australia, is a comprehensive university with 26,000 students on three separate campuses. Students interested in studying in Australia pay tuition and fees to UNK and room and board cost to Deakin University. KANSAI GAIDAI
The University of Nebraska at Kearney is officially affiliated with Kansai University of Foreign Studies in Osaka, Japan. Kansai University is a very prestigious University devoted to the promotion of international education. As an affiliate, UNK sends one student per year at UNK rates to study in the Asian Studies Program. More information about this program is available from the Office of Study Abroad.
MAUI/UTRECHT CONSORTIUM
The MAUI/Utrecht Consortium brings universities from the Midwest together with universities from the European ERASMUS program to facilitate student exchange for the purpose of developing internationally competent citizens who can participate in the development of our nations' foreign policy, provide international political, economic and social leadership, and who understand nations, cultures and people who have different histories, traditions and religions. Specific information about the European universities is available in the Office of Study Abroad.
NOTTINGHAM-TRENT UNIVERSITY
The Nottingham-Trent University/UNK exchange agreement provides for UNK students to study in the United Kingdom for one semester or one academic year. Nottingham-Trent University, located in the city of Nottingham about one hour north of London, is a large comprehensive university with over 24,000 students and more than 30 departments. ROSTOCK UNIVERSITY
Rostock University, located in Rostock in the new lands of Germany, is an historic university dating to 1419. Rostock University offers many unique opportunities to UNK students who speak intermediate German. For more information about Rostock University, visit the Office of Study Abroad.
SAPPORO UNIVERSITY
Through a sister institution exchange, Sapporo University offers two UNK students a one-year scholarship that provides tuition, fees, board and room to study at Sapporo University, Sapporo, Japan. While at Sapporo University students will study the Japanese language and culture as well as choose courses from the Sapporo University offerings. INTERNATIONAL STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM
ISEP allows a student at UNK to enroll directly in a foreign university for a year of study and earn academic credit toward a degree at UNK. Through ISEP, a student may study at a member institution in Africa, Asia, Australia, Canada, Europe or Latin America. ISEP has member institutions in more than 20 countries on six continents including sites in Bangladesh, Brazil, Finland, France, the Ivory Coast, Malta, Mexico, The Netherlands, Togo and many, many others. As an ISEP participant a student enrolls as a regular student at a host institution, taking the same courses as regularly enrolled students at that institution. ISEP exchanges are small in scale; only a few students go to each participating institution abroad.
This means that an ISEP participant is immersed in the culture and exposed to new ideas and new world views.
The cost for this ISEP experience is the same as one academic year at UNK plus a $300 placement fee paid to ISEP and international health insurance. Through a simplified admissions policy, the UNK student pays room and board at UNK and receives equal benefits at the foreign institution.
