SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS

Alpha Phi Omega: Alpha Phi Omega is a national service fraternity. Composed of both men and women, the group  provides services to those at UNK and in the Kearney community.

Ambassadors: Ambassadors is a leadership group whose members act as hosts and hostesses for UNK functions.

Circle K: The goal of Circle K is to involve more people with constructive service on campus and in the community.

Collegians for Integration and Accessibility: This organization helps to meet the needs of students with disabilities while encouraging integration of all collegians through the promotion of campus accessibility and programs.

Friends: Friends is a supervised volunteer program that connects adult mentors with children identified as having special needs. The purpose of the program is to establish a one-to-one relationship between the college student and child.

Greeks Advocating Mature Management of Alcohol:  GAMMA is an organization for the Greek community at UNK. It is used as a resource for educating Greeks on various areas of college life including alcohol, date rape, drugs, sexually transmitted diseases, and peer pressure.

Habitat for Humanity: The University chapter works with other student groups on campus to develop fund-raising projects which help Habitat for Humanity build houses within the community and throughout the country.

Leadership Development Council: This organization promotes and recognizes leadership on campus. It also provides leadership programming to students through leadership speakers and workshops.

Reach-Up: The Reach-Up program includes a peer education/social group, CHEERS. UNK students are selected and trained to present alcohol-related topics to their peers. CHEERS' main goal is alcohol abuse prevention on the UNK campus.

Student Alumni Foundation: The Student Alumni Foundation serves as a liaison between the UNK Alumni Association and the student body. The Student Alumni Foundation promotes Student Survival Kits, alumni awareness, and activities designed to facilitate student/alumni interaction.
