ASSESSMENT PLAN
Revised 1996-97
The faculty will meet at the end of each academic year to discuss courses, syllabi, committees, and admitted students in light of the assessment outcomes for the year. They will also assess if the outcome objectives are being met satisfactorily.

Revised 1994-95
The assessment committee has not been formed. After discussion, we saw this as a duplication of our standing Advising Board. The assessment activities will be presented annually to the Advising Board for their feedback.

The Social Work Program will set up an assessment committee to reassess the effectiveness of the assessment procedures and make recommendations to the director.

1999-2000 ASSESSMENT
The assessment plan will remain the same.
1998-99 ASSESSMENT
The assessment plan will not be altered.
1997-98 ASSESSMENT
During the Spring 1998 Advisory Board meeting, the assessment plan was presented. The board approved the plan. They were also informed that the alumni survey would be sent soon. No other modifications were suggested.
The faculty met in May 1998 to evaluate the program and review course syllabi, outcome measures, suggestions from the capstone experience, and admitted students.
1996-97 ASSESSMENT
The faculty met in May 1997 and discussed the items listed in the plan. The plan will be modified to include a review of the plan at the end of each academic year.
The Assessment Plan was presented to the Advisory Board and they approved it. They were also informed of the outcomes of the assessment and measures taken to address concerns, including adding content on time management and avoiding burnout, courses required volunteering in a community, and more time was spent on active learning particularly role plays. Practical activities directly related to social work practice were assigned in the practice sequence. (In addition, the Social Work Program was reviewed for re-accreditation by CSWE during this academic year and was granted a renewal until 2005.)
1995-96 ASSESSMENT
The Advisory Board was made aware of changes implemented in the program and their feedback solicited. They approved the assessment plan.
1994-95 ASSESSMENT
1993-94 ASSESSMENT
The assessment committee was not formed. A committee will be designated this year.
