ASSESSMENT PLAN
Modified, 1996-97
The traditional assessment of students by mailing out a survey form has been
abandoned in favor of using direct communication by email. This approach is expected to
work well since we have so few graduates and it is becoming easier to track email
addresses than conventional mailing addresses.
A new tool for assessment is being
devised to evaluate how our programs and the university experience in general has
benefited our students. This instrument will be administered to students at the same time
that we do our student evaluations of teachers and will be tested during the l993-94
academic year at the regularly scheduled evaluation of the Spring Semester.
Information from program alumni will also
be solicited on some of the same assessment issues to determine how their perspective has
changed after they have begun to pursue goals beyond their graduation. |
