ASSESSMENT PLAN
Modified, 1996-97
The traditional assessment of students by mailing out a survey form has been abandoned in favor of using direct communication by email. This approach is expected to work well since we have so few graduates and it is becoming easier to track email addresses than conventional mailing addresses.

A new tool for assessment is being devised to evaluate how our programs and the university experience in general has benefited our students. This instrument will be administered to students at the same time that we do our student evaluations of teachers and will be tested during the l993-94 academic year at the regularly scheduled evaluation of the Spring Semester.

Information from program alumni will also be solicited on some of the same assessment issues to determine how their perspective has changed after they have begun to pursue goals beyond their graduation.

1999-2000 ASSESSMENT
1998-99 ASSESSMENT
1997-98 ASSESSMENT
1996-97 ASSESSMENT
We have learned that our students feel that they have been generally well prepared and that the most often cited shortfall in their preparation has been because of the lack of up-to-date equipment.
1995-96 ASSESSMENT
The survey will be conducted in the summer of 1997.
1994-95 ASSESSMENT
The Department determined that the survey will be sent out in the summer of 1997 to coincide with the UNK Academic Program Review.
1993-94 ASSESSMENT
A rough draft of the survey has been developed. It is to be reviewed by the department and sent out in the summer of 1995.
