ASSESSMENT PLAN
Students in Capstone Course will be given a survey assessing their perpormance in the program.

1999-2000 ASSESSMENT
Students are requesting additional graduate only courses.

The Program now offers the core classes yearly in response to student request.

The prerequisites needed for the program were reduced.

1998-99 ASSESSMENT
Students asked for more frequent offerings of the core classes.

A Systems Component was added to BACC 858, a core class, in response to student input in 1996-97.

1997-98 ASSESSMENT
A projected schedule for course offerings in the next three years has been published in response to student requests last year.

After focus groups in several locations met, a cohort of students in Grand Island has been formed to pursue a three-year program to be offered at College Park by the UNK MBA Program. The program began in S98.

The Program is reviewing its curriculum and the possibility of reducing the 39 hour prerequisite for acceptance into the MBA program.

1996-97 ASSESSMENT
Students confirmed that the program is meeting their expectations.

They commented that an information systems course is needed.

The graduating students suggested that a projected schedule of course offerings would be helpful. The Program is working to develop such a schedule.

Students also suggested that cohorts be formed to pursue the degree at off-campus locations. The Program is investigating the demand and practicability of this.

They again complained about the number of undergraduate business hours that are required to enter the program.

The Student Handbook was completed and distributed this year.

Some courses will continued to be offered weekends on an occasional basis.

1995-96 ASSESSMENT
Student comments confirmed that are pleased with the preparation that they have received in the MBA Program. They do question the necessity of the large block of prerequisites for entry into the MBA program.

We continue to respond to suggestions from previous years. Admissions criteria in the Graduate Catalog has been made more complete. In addition, the newsletter has published material about the Program's admissions criteria.

The Program is developing a handbook for students in response to the request last year for more structured guidance through the program.

Some courses will be offered on weekends, so that the Program can review this option.

1994-95 ASSESSMENT
The following comments were gathered through the exit interviews and summary as well as by the Academic Program Review Team in interviews with students:

Students suggested that the admission criteria for the MBA be clarified.

Students asked for structured guidance through the program.

They asked for more information about job placement. In response, this information has been published in the MBA Program's newsletter.

International students complained about the length of the program. Some expected a one year program. The standard letter sent to those international students who inquire about the MBA program has been modified to make that point clearer.

Students requested that some of their classes be graduate classes only instead of the undergraduate/graduate classes that are now predominant. The Program is moving to offer some graduate only electives on a regular basis.

Students requested that some courses be offered on weekends.

The 39 hour prerequisite list for the program is an on-going problem.
