1999-2000 ASSESSMENT
1998-99 ASSESSMENT
After reviewing student comments and working with several construction companies the curriculum was changed. This was an attempt to improve the curriculum and thus help the students that graduate from UNK. Such courses as the ITEC 441 course numbers determining their sequence along with others in the Construction curriculum were re-numbered and sequenced to assist the students.
1997-98 ASSESSMENT
After reviewing comments from the students on their internships and at the senior exit interviews, the ITEC 451 course was evaluated. It was determined that the laboratory component should be dropped for next year. The paper work has been completed to complete this task. The capstone courses in ITEC are designated as WI and will remain that way for another year. Also in response to student input, the ITEC 441 course curriculum has been changed with some of the materials being lowered to a 300 level course and new materials added.
1996-97 ASSESSMENT
The students in ITEC 451 and ITEC 441 complete course evaluations, used to determine if any changes should be made to improve the classes. As the result of reading the student comments, the ITEC 451 instructor utilized the capstone course to pull together all the coursework the students had completed in college as well as to relate the business world that they are preparing for to their coursework.

The ITEC 441 course was not changed from the year before. The instructor continued writing student evaluations of each student and shared the information with each person on an individual basis.

1995-96 ASSESSMENT
Students that are in the ITEC 441 and ITEC 451 courses were asked to do an evaluation of the course. The students said they wanted more feedback on their progress in the 441 course. The faculty member now writes a summary of the students progress at the end of the semester. This student progress summary is then returned to the student to be used for self improvement.
1994-95 ASSESSMENT
Students who had just completed their internships during the summer of 1995 were surveyed. As a result, ITEC 221 Communication Graphics was dropped from the curriculum of each degree program and a course that would increase the student's depth in the field was added to better prepare students to enter their chosen career fields.
1993-94 ASSESSMENT
The ITEC 441 and ITEC 451 courses were offered this year. Enrollments in the two classes totaled 43 students. Students need to be concerned with management skills. The instructors will approach the management skill problem differently next year.
