ASSESSMENT PLAN
At the end of each semester, the Undergraduate Studies Committee will consider the efficacy of our assessment system. Its conclusions and/or suggestions will then be passed on to the rest of the department for approval.
1999-2000 ASSESSMENT
The current system is working well so far and will be retained.
1998-99 ASSESSMENT
The current system is working well so far and will be retained.
1997-98 ASSESSMENT
The current system is working well so far and will be retained.
1996-97 ASSESSMENT
The current system is working well so far and will be retained.
1995-96 ASSESSMENT
Both the cooperating teacher evaluation and the exit interviews have proven quite valuable in pointing to our programs strengths and weakness and will be retained.
1994-95 ASSESSMENT
Last spring the History department decided to rework its assessment plan for undergraduate majors. In place of the previous rather bulky program which required that professors collect papers and/or portfolios from history majors, we created single capstone course, HIST 496, Senior Seminar in History.
1993-94 ASSESSMENT
The assessment plan for the Department of History is still under study. We have decided to modify exit interviews for our graduating seniors. We are currently considering the possibility of a single capstone course for future assessment.
