ASSESSMENT PLAN
Undergraduates assess the degree to which the program has helped them meet specified program objectives on an exit survey at the conclusion of student teaching.
1999-2000 ASSESSMENT
1998-99 ASSESSMENT
1997-98 ASSESSMENT
The survey instruments used for elementary and middle school majors have been revised to ask more specific technology questions. Results are being tabulated.
1996-97 ASSESSMENT
Survey instruments were not used for the 96-97 AY due to the timing of the Departmental Academic Program Review (APR). The student group which was assembled for the APR served as a sounding board for the visiting APR team and was substituted for the surveys.
1995-96 ASSESSMENT
Survey instruments were returned in insufficient numbers for any statistically sound analysis. The few instruments returned to the department indicated that students perceived the program to be strong, with the exception of preparation in the area of technology. (For department response to the need in area of technology see yearly assessments under External Experts.)
1994-95 ASSESSMENT
1993-94 ASSESSMENT
The survey was not used due to the time needed to prepare for the NCATE reports and visit. The Graduation Committee used students as a "sounding board" for suggested changes in the Educational Technology Program.
