1996-97
ASSESSMENT
Comprehensive examinations indicate students are well prepared in all content areas. The
singular area of concern raised by the comprehensive examination centers on students'
depth of understanding regarding purpose of the school's curriculum. This concern will be
addressed via revision of the syllabus for ELED 850, Elementary School Curriculum, and
reassignment of the course to a department faculty member. |
1995-96
ASSESSMENT
Comprehensive examinations indicate students have mastered key concepts within the content
areas of the elementary school curriculum. Transfer of learning to specific situations has
shown improvement from the previous yearly assessment, however, some concern remains. The
Graduate Program Committee Chair will study this concern as part of his yearly plan. |
1994-95

areas of the elementary curriculum. |
1993-94
ASSESSMENT
The comprehensive examinations for the most part confirmed that our students are well
prepared, however we did see some weakness in the area of transferring learning from one
situation to another. We have restructured ELED 8?? to address this deficiency. |
