ASSESSMENT PLAN
All students are required to successfully complete comprehensive exams during the time the student is registered for or after completion of the internship. The comprehensive exam is based on the program objectives.
1999-2000 ASSESSMENT
Forty-two students competed the written comprehensive exam. This does not include summer 2000 graduation.

In response to a concern about writing skills, students are referred to the UNK Writing Center. In addition, discussion continues related to way to address this concern.

No additional concerns were raised in response to this part of the assessment process.

1998-99 ASSESSMENT
Fifteen-nine students completed the written comprehensive exam.
1997-98 ASSESSMENT
All students (46 graduates) completed a written comprehensive examination (case study). The faculty is addressing the possibility of a need for increased emphasis on writing in the program based on this body of work.
1996-97 ASSESSMENT
All students (54 graduates) are required to complete a written comprehensive exam (case study).
1995-96 ASSESSMENT
46 students successfully completed comprehensive examinations. Written comprehensive exams are now required for both the school counseling and the community counseling programs.
1994-95 ASSESSMENT
Fifty-one students successfully completed comprehensive examinations.
1993-94 ASSESSMENT
Written comprehensive exams are being considered to replace the oral comps for the community counseling program.
