ASSESSMENT PLAN
The department carefully tracks its graduates for both employment and entry into professional schools.

We had an exceptional group of graduates this academic year. Five received their degrees summa cum laude; two graduated magna cum laude; three graduated cum laude; and one received his degree honorable mention. Several have already been accepted into Ph.D. programs and Todd Fuelberth will attend the California Institute of Technology.
1994-95 ASSESSMENT
Eight students received chemistry degrees during the 1994-5 academic year; three of the eight are women.

One of the eight students is in graduate school (University of Missouri) pursuing a Ph.D. in chemistry. One is in medical school at UNMC. Two are employed in Nebraska as secondary chemistry teachers and the remainder have jobs in industry.

1993-94 ASSESSMENT
Seventeen students received chemistry degrees during the 1993-94 academic year; seven of the seventeen are women and two are members of ethnic minorities.

Five graduates are currently in graduate school pursuing Ph.D.'s in chemistry or biochemistry. Three are enrolled as graduate students at UNK. Five of the seventeen are teaching high school chemistry in Nebraska, and one is employed as a chemist by the U.S. government in the Panama Canal Zone. One student continues to work in Kearney while her husband completes his degree, and the employment status of two students is unknown.
