All students successfully completed student teaching, and all received teaching
contracts. |
1996-97
ASSESSMENT
Fewer than 10 students completed student teaching in the Biology endorsement area. While
the sample is too small for statistical treatment, anecdotal feedback indicates the
students felt well prepared in the subject area during the student teaching experience.
The curriculum focuses on a combination of content and process in the discipline. This is
consistent with the expectations for entry level teachers in middle school and high school
programs. |

ASSESSMENT
There were too few education students to be statistically meaningful, but those that the
Department did have reported being satisfied with their preparation in the subject area. |
1994-95
ASSESSMENT
Feedback from the PTE Department on education students reported good preparation in
Biology. |
1993-94
ASSESSMENT
Several students successfully completed the requirement and met the objectives of this
capstone requirement. The exit survey for student teaching will be revised and given again
in 1995-96 |
