ASSESSMENT PLAN
Administrative Strategy and Policy (BMGT 495), required of all business majors, uses case studies requiring analysis and decision-making as well as integration of the knowledge acquired in previous courses. In addition, finance majors take Case Studies in Financial Management (BFIN 482), a course in financial analysis and decision-making using advanced case studies. These courses assess cognitive as well as non-cognitive competencies.
1999-2000 ASSESSMENT
1998-99 ASSESSMENT
1997-98 ASSESSMENT
1996-97 ASSESSMENT
All business students were enrolled in the Administrative Strategy and Policy (BMGT 495) course. A total of 210 students took this class in 1996-1997. A total of 28 students took Case Studies in Financial Management (BFIN 482).

Possible changes to BMGT 495 are "on hold" while we investigate curricular changes needed for AACSB accreditation.

1995-96 ASSESSMENT
All business students were enrolled in the Administrative Strategy and Policy (BMGT 495) course. A total of 223 students took this class in 1995-1996. A total of 10 students took Case Studies in Financial Management (BFIN 482).

The capstone course (BMGT 495) has been altered to include a simulation business game in all sections to advance our students' capabilities in analysis, synthesis, problem-solving, and communications, as well as their technical abilities. The change was in part based on student input. Further alteration of this course is being considered.

1994-95 ASSESSMENT
All business students were enrolled in the Administrative Strategy and Policy (BMGT 495 ) course. A total of 273 students took this class in 1994-1995. A total of 33 students took Case Studies in Financial Management (BFIN 482).

A survey of the professors of the capstone courses is planned in 1995-1996 to get their judgment of our students' capabilities in analysis, synthesis, problem- solving, and communication, as well as their technical abilities.

1993-94 ASSESSMENT
All business students were enrolled in the Administrative Strategy and Policy (BMGT 495) course. A total of 312 students took this class in 1993-1994. A total of 29 students took Case Studies in Financial Management (BFIN 482).

As a result of student evaluation, the Policy course is currently being reevaluated, with the expectation that the course will be altered to better measure cognitive competencies. The Case Studies course is, also, being reevaluated regarding the measurement of communication skills.
