Mission

To develop in students:

1. an appreciation of art history
2. an understanding of the language of art (design and the art elements)
3. a basis for judgment of art criticism and aesthetics
4. their own personal creative process
5. an understanding of their own cultural heritage and that of foreign cultures in art
6. a concentrated experience in studio and graphic design
7. the appropriate skills and knowledge to teach art, K-12.
