ASSESSMENT PLAN
A placement file is assembled each year, listing graduate's degree, year of graduation and geographic placement of each position. A placement map is exhibited in the Art Department for exhibition.

1996-97 ASSESSMENT
The majority of graduates in the 1996-97 academic year have secured employment, especially in Visual Communication and Design. In Art Education 3 of the 4 graduates have teaching positions.
Approximately half of the graduates with Studio degrees seek admission to graduate school. Although the Department has no means of monitoring acceptances, several students notified us of acceptance into prestigious internships and graduate programs.
1995-1996 ASSESSMENT
Most of our graduates were placed in the 1995/6 academic year with the greatest of these in Visual Communication and Design. In Art Education 5 of 6 graduates have teaching positions. Placement of graduates in Art Education and graphics ranges from 80% to 90%, with some hired before graduation.
1994-1995 ASSESSMENT
The Art Department placed a majority of graduates during the 1994-1995 year. The total number of graduates in the 1994-95 academic year is reflective of previous years with the greatest number in Graphic Design followed by Art Education. Our record for placement of our graduates has been positive and consistent over the past years.

The artistic and creative activity of our graduates residing locally may, in part, be observed during Kearney's annual Art-in-the-Park. Of the 110 artists exhibiting in 1995, 31 were UNK graduates.

1993-1994 ASSESSMENT
Twenty-four graduates were placed during the 1993-1994 year. The total number of graduates in the 1993-94 academic year is reflective of previous years with the greatest number in Graphic Design followed by Art Education. Our record for placement of our graduates has been positive and consistent over the past years.

The artistic and creative activity of our graduates residing locally may, in part, be observed during Kearney's annual Art-In-the-Park. Of the 100 artists exhibiting in 1994, 23 were UNK graduates.
