Art Education: All students majoring in art education will teach a full semester in a K-12 program. They will be supervised and evaluated by the Department of Education under the guidelines and direction of the Art Department.

Public Show:At the completion of the capstone studio experience, all students present their project in public exhibitions.

Oral Examination: During an oral critique session open to all art faculty, students are expected to defend their work presented in the public exhibition and give evidence of understanding of aesthetics, art history and the art of their own and other cultures. They are evaluated by the Art Department staff on the overall quality of the exhibition/research.
